JME Mom when we did ours we got samples of other schools and made our own, we now see after five years they no longer work and need upadating! Are you planning on incoporating and going 501, if you are there is a clause that needs to be in bylaws for 501 groups, you also want to incorporate first. What direction do you plan on going?
I'm the VP of the PTO at our school. The is my first year. Our problom is we do not have bylaws that we know of. We are having some issues with the Prens. and Vic.Prens. going over the Presedints head and making decisions about the PTO and its money without the PTO'S consent. We are new at this and do not know if this is how it works and we do not know about bylaws. Please help me out. I would like to know is there general bylaws that can be adaptied to your needs or do we just write our own.
Congrats...we are actually going to be updating and making admendments to ours this Spring, they worked for four years and now we have out grown them! Oh the fun..
I do owe thanks to this group too!!! I had a lot of good info from here when we were reworking them. Samples of bylaws, wording of things, what to add what not too. So gad we have this group.
