First of all inform parents of your committee and make a small outline. For example you may want to put in your newsletter:
Our kids need to play and they need your help. Playground committee sign ups are available in the work room (or wherever). Committee members will be responsible for designing our playground, researching, and fund planning.
That is all I can come up with right now because my 9 year old is in my ear talking his head off. But it isn't too hard to get started. You may also want to include a date for everyone to meet to start the discussions on everything.
Hi all, so far I have lurked here for a few weeks. Now, I am taking the plunge and posting. Our school is VERY small 1 class per grade level. Anyhow, we are in need of a new playground. Currently, I am seeking people to be involved in a committee. Hopefully, we can get enough funds raised to install something this year, even if it is only a small item. I am looking for any advice you may have in starting this type of undertaking. We are truly at square one and looking for advice (especially some pitfalls to look for.)
I look forward to coming here with my many questions in the future.
