Colorado parents curious about Earth Balloon

If anyone was planning on going to this - it has been cancelled by the museum. They need to do some kind of fire check in the room we reserved.

Sorry.

Earth Balloon is a huge inflated globe that you climb into and have a geography or science lesson inside. They provide the lesson and set it up in your gym. The cost is $90 an hour for a two hour minumum. The classes are 30-40 minutes long. The balloon can fit about 30 people at a time. It's really cool.

I have a special one time opportunity with the Children's Museum of Denver in Colorado. By a fluke I convinced them to inflate the balloon at the museum. They said they may not ever do it again so I have to keep the appointment. Because there are fewer people from my parents group able to come I'm facing paying the extra fees personally which I don't really want to do.

Here's the one time opportunity: anyone who can get here is invited to share the experience. Wednesday July 28th at 10am we will be meeting at the museum for the 30-40 minute class then we will have 1 hour and 20 minutes of free time in the musuem. The regular cost for special classes is $4.50 and regular admission to the museum is $3.50. I am asking that everyone pitch in $5 to cover the cost of the special event.

Parents are very welcome to bring their children. If somehow we have more people than anticipated, we will divide up into classes to better enjoy the experience.

Please contact me at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to RSVP. I would like to have a general number of people to cover costs but if you see this late and want to just show up, please arrive promptly at 10 am so I may make arrangements.

Here is a web site showing the balloon:
