Hey Michelle, I hear the clock ticking, but do you have anyone that has a home business? Pamper Chef, Stamp'n Up, Discovery Toys, Mary Kay, Candlelite??? I struck gold with a mom that wanted to "get rid" of last years cookbooks (Pamper chef) and that went over huge! You know that PTA can cook up a fundraiser in a flash OR We are great under pressure!

WHat about any fun plexes, tokens for rides? OHH!! Local rec center, free admintion for swimming, etc? Do you have a Fazolis? Fudrukers? Sonic Burger? Great places to ask!

....I have 150 Fun Run T-shirts!.......hey I can ask! ;) :D

It's getting terribly close and so far, I have 120 of each of these things-
first aid kits from American Family Insurance,
Bags of Snickers
Free Sandwich from Subway
Toolkit keychains
Tissues

I'm still working on free ice cream cones, candles and gift bags. The portraits will work too! Thanks!!

Sorry I just noticed the thread. I was knee deep in auction stuff. If you still need free items for your group here are some ideas:

Fitness places may give you "One month free" certificates. Yoga or Tai Chi classes may do this too.

If you talk to the manager of your local Sears, JCPenny, Target, Walmart or Olan Mills portrait studios, they may give you certificates for free portraits. That would normally be one 10x13 or 8x10 with no sitting fee.

These certificates took me about a week to get. Hope that's not too terribly late.

Thanks venzmama. I knew you'd have something creative! It's a great idea but my burner is broken and the rest of my board isn't as computer savvy, so I will file that away for later! Actually, we may even do it as a fundraiser for council...hmmmm?

You called? This may be strange, but what if you created a CD slide show using pictures from all the schools involved. It could include pics of the kids, various activities, and then set it to music. Burning the CD's wouldn't be that expensive and they could always use it in the future for other presentations. When we were evacuated last year to Houston, our yearbook staff did this using things we did/places we went and sold it for $5. It was a big hit and a great momento of a crazy time in our lives.
