We have held programs with the Carnegie Science Center if you're from the Pittsburgh area, if not, check with your local science center. We have also had Sadecky's Puppet Shows - they're great - they perform through- out the northeast, possibly as far south as Virginia (I can't remember), you can call 800-962-0654 for a brochure. We've also used the Bureau of Lectures & Concert Artists. We actually have a musician from them scheduled for the end of February. But they have a large variety of performers, their # is 800- 255-0084.
Try either Mr. Wizard, I think they're out of Michigan, or Mad Science at www.madscience.org.
We had Mr. Wizard at our school and it was pretty good. I haven't seen a Mad Science show, but have seen their promotional video and they look excellent. Check out their website.
Do you have a Web address or phone number for them? I'm sure others would love to get in touch and we'd definitely like to add them to our A&E Marketplace of resources for PTOs.

Hi!
Our school in Northern Virginia just put on an "Under the Sea" assembly. It was for grades K-8 and parents were also invited to attend. Never have I seen all the grades sit so quietly and be totally mesmerized by an event. Even us parents were drawn in, If you have a chance to get this assembly I highly recommend it.
