Question: Banking & Principal
Our PTO is having a disagreement. One board member says we can add the principal to the PTO bank account and I do not believe we can add a NON board member to account. The principal is the final say so as to what occurs at the school but can't actually control the money.

Lots of groups do have the principal on the account with the understanding that the purpose is really as a back up, or, in the event, that the treasurer or any other person on the account leaves, the principal can be a stand-in until a new officer comes on board. It really depends on how your group works with your principal and how comfortable you'd be with this set up.
Hope that helps!
