Question: PTO - independent from the school/district vs. part of the district
Our PTO goes thru a District Wide Educational Foundation which means that they really don't have a say how the money is used, or even kept in the loop when it's used. Do they HAVE to be apart of this foundation, or can a group of parents start a 501 foundation on their own, raising money for the school/kids.
