Question: Lunch Duty help

After receiving a lot of interest in lunch duty help from parent involvement surveys I feel we should organize a consistent system. Does any one have any ideas or a system in place for parents to help in the lunchroom?

I would think the two main issues would be training and scheduling. You could have a short volunteer training session where school staff members explain the procedures and rules students are expected to follow. It would also be good to type these up to share with people who can't be at the training, or to give to volunteers as a refresher. As far as scheduling, you just need to find a system that works for your group. It would be great if you could find volunteers willing to help one day a week for a set period of time, even if it's just a month.
