Question: Event to announce grant award

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has a suggestion on an event to announce receiving a grant. This particular grant is for playground renovations. I'd love to do something fun to really get the kids excited, which would in turn, hopefully get the parents and community excited about the project. My hope is that by doing so, it would make it easier to raise the rest of the funds needed to complete the renovations and let everyone know we, as a PTO, are serious about completing the needed renovations and that more parents and community members will want to become involved.

Hi there! You're smart to consider getting the word out to generate more support for your playground effort! How will folks know you need their support unless you tell them? Also, it would be a fun idea to hold a family/community get together, something "no fuss'' with refreshments to bring folks together, tell them about the grant and explain what the plans are to make this a success. You could also tie this celebration to another event if you have one already planned. Also, consider using your communications tools -- Facebook, Twitter, newsletters, emails to get the world out about the work you are doing.
