Does your group have bylaws? One way to get the board to follow the bylaws is to stand up at the meeting and read the pertinent section whenever they aren't being followed. It's not the subtlest approach, but if you're persistent it will work over time. It will help if there are some like-minded people there to support you. If that's not your style, you might start by focusing on one or two bylaws that you would like to be enforced. Gather support from other members, and bring up the fact that this bylaw is important and needs to be followed. If you can, you might want to enlist the support of the principal.

Document, document, document. Another option is to reach out to the School Board with your concerns and documentation.
