Question: ethical issues with being on two boards
I have been the president of our PTO for a few years. I am also newly elceted to our School committee. Can I hold and office on the PTO board and be a school committee member. Can I work for my school and be on the Board of my PTO? Can I be on SAC school advisory committee and hold an office on the board of PTO? We are all very invloved moms who wear many different hats but we want to be sure it is all ethical.

Craig writes:Definitely ethical, as long as you are able to make the time commitment to both jobs. In fact, I think it's a good idea for the SAC to include an experienced PTO leader.
