Question: High School Booster Club

I am the treasurer of our high school football booster club and we do quite a lot of fund raising for our program. In addition we make a lot of purchases and sales with a fairly large turnover of inventory to support our program. Can we buy insurance to protect our board and assets even if our PTSO has not?
