Before anyone can give you an answer, we need more information. - how many families have children at the school? - what area of the country are you located in? - why such low PTO membership? Will families support anything you do with either volunteer time or money? - any funds available now to use for the fundraiser or are you starting with a zero balance? - are you in a low, middle, or high income area? - what type of school - preschool, elementary school, middle school, or high school? - what fundraisers did you do last year and were they successful? This is just a starter list of questions off the top of my head, but I hope that someone would be able to give you advice if you give us more information.

We are a Lutheran school, pree-school thru 8. Approx 120 families (180 kids). We are in a Chicago suburb, Mid level income. We do have a starting balance, though not ALOT. Last year we sold Innisbrook wrapping paper. NO IDEA why we can't get more parent involvement as far a PTL membership goes. That is a HUGE goal of mine this year (I am the new president) Hope that helps. THANKS

Kate -- With my kids ranging from 8 to 30 I have been doing school fundraisers for a long time. Our favorite is a walkathon type but requires a heavy number of volunteers. One that we were just introduced to and have been extremely surprised and happy with that required very little volunteer hours on our end was RightResponse Fundraising. The company rep Scott Spicer was amazing and they did all the work. We did it in a spur of the moment fundraiser for one class and only ran it for a week. I would not hesitate to recommend them. It is simple, the product is great and useful and the potential for huge earnings with minimal volunteer hours expended makes it a great deal worth looking at. Then you can devote the volunteer hours to places that will better serve the direct population.
