Question: Committee Ideas

I'm just getting involved in the PTO and they don't have any committees that are formed. I bought up the suggestion about developing some committees. I'm looking for some ideas which we can form some standard committees to get started. Can anyone give me some ideas on committees we can start with?

We faced a similar situation this year! Basically we started with what we already do. Wrote them down and then catagorized them to make sense. Basically an organizational chart. For instance we do boxtops, escrip, this fund raiser, that fundraiser, we formed a fundraising committee with these sub committees so they can all work separatly yet together towards a common goal. In my opinion you shouldnt form a committee just to have a committee. It needs to be formed to accomplish a goal or set of goals.
