Should we for proper documentation stop handing out cash to teacher for classroom reimbursement? Should we be collecting receipt for the reimbursements?

Craig writes:It's really a matter of preference. The most businesslike practice is to reimburse teachers for expenses when they turn in their receipts. But you give the teachers the most flexibility and they'll appreciate you more if you give them the money first, then let them turn in receipts. In that case your leverage is to tell them they won't be eligible for future grants if they don't turn in receipts. Either way, you should be asking for receipts to keep for your tax records.
