Question: Elections/transition
Our board elections are this month, and just found out that 3 of the nominated members will not be at the meeting. Our bylaws do not address if their presence at the election meeting is mandatory. Any suggestions?

Craig writes:It's odd that so many of them won't be there, but I don't think that should preclude them from being elected. Robert's Rules allows for candidates to be elected even if they are not present, so if your bylaws don't say anything about it, I would just go ahead with the elections.
