Question: Can meetings be recorded?

Do members have the right to record (digital/audio) the meetings? Can members vote to erase audio recordings of meetings?

The secretary of the group usually takes notes and then writes up a summary (the minutes) which is then approved by the president and/or the board to be distributed. Usually the minutes are approved at the next meeting. Meetings may benefit from the use of a recording device that will help you ensure accuracy in transcribing proceedings. Unless the digital/audio recordings are considered your minutes, it should not be an issue.
