Hopefully your bylaws state how removal from office can occur - "with cause" or "without cause". Language should be as simple as "PTO Board Members may be terminated for failing to uphold their duties and ethics of their office or other extenuating circumstances which may bring discredit or show negatively on the PTO, school or the school district.
