I didn't get the January issue. We serve two schools and the Pres and I are the only ones who ever get the two copies we receive. But this month, no copy at either school. I have my last two year stash and refer to them often. I put it right up there with my Oprah magazine...lol.
Tim--it was very cool to see my article in the Back Talk portion of the magazine. Many thanks to Patty for contacting me reference running it. I write an article each month for our newsletter (as I suspect many do). February's is "Packing our children's kit bag". It was really a nice tribute to my father to see what I wrote in print in PTO Today. Thanks tons...d
Yes, the subscriptions are for one year (minimum six issues, sometimes 7) from the time you order.
And the "member" pricing refers to our PTO Today Plus program. If you group is a PTO Today Plus member group, then the group gets discounts (plus a bunch of other benefits) on all of our products and services and individual members of that group get discounts on individual products and services (like subscriptions and tickets to our conferences), as well.
If I ordered the PTO magazine today, does it come for a year? Or would I only get the remaining few? What designates member vs. nonmember status for the price breaks?
I really appreciated this month's article on WHY parents should get involved for 2 reasons: 1) It helps me make the case to those parents who drag their feet about volunteering; 2) It helps battle mid-year burnout... I needed to be reminded of the many positive reasons for doing what we all do!
Forgot to post got Sept Issue, thanks Tim and Susan, Ms Shum, and Patricia (and anyone else I forgot or put the wrong name, I'm terrible at names).
Plus everyone at the school loved the Donuts, Dads and Dirt acticle our next one is At the end of October to recruit victi... er volunteers to demolish and redo Teacher Lunchroom and transform it into a Lunchroom/ Parent Center (especially if Lowes and a few others jump on board and approve our grants)
