Thanks for the great suggestions. We do box tops, soup labels, milk caps, and reciepts from 2 different grocery stores in our town. They give us 1% of the subtotal of what we collect. We are checking into the sunnyd thing. It sounds like a great idea. Our school poverty level is high as well but we strive to do everything we can do for our kids. Our current adventure is the cookbook. Thank you!

Dont forget Box Tops, Cambell soup labels,and Sunny D labels-all free return whether money, books or supplies.
Our school has appx. 80% of our students on free or reduced meals and our PTO has to be creative
W/ approval from school board or whom ever get donations from businesses.
Pizza sales are good if payment is due around the 4-6 of month (everyone seems to recieve a pay at the beginning of the month)
Go on line and search search search-a lot of homework

We just sold cookie dough at our school and made a nice profit of $ 3700. We have 600+, but not all participate. We held a Fun Run and it helps us to sponsor, cookies with santa, mom/son event, march reading month, field trips, etc. We ask each child to raise $5-$50. Hope this helps. Restaurant nights, many nationwide chains, will hold a restaurant night or day and you can receive anything from 10% - 25% for the day from them. That may work as well.

Andrea, your school sounds a lot like mine (300 students, majority are low income). Your school does a lot :-) Great job!!!

WE ARE A SCHOOL OF ABOUT 300 KIDS AND OUR POVERTY RATE IS ABOUT 60% OR HIGHER. WE STRIVE TO TO THE VERY BEST OF OUR KIDS. WE SO SERVERAL FUNRAISERS A YEAR. OUR FIRST ONE IS THE BIGGEST AND USUALLY BRINGS IN THE MOST MONEY FOR US. WE HAVE 2 BOOK FAIRS AND SELL BUTTERBRAIDS TWICE A YEAR - ONCE IN THE FALL AND THE OTHER IN THE SPRING. WE ALSO DO WHAT IS CALLED ORIGINAL ART WORKS WHERE THE ART TEACHER HAS AN ART PROJECT EVREY GRADE MAKES AND A PERSON CAN ORDER THIER ART WORKS. WE COLLECT BOX TOPS, MILK CAPS, SOUP LABELS, AND GROCERY RECIEPTS. WE ALSO DO ALOT FOR OUR SCHOOL AS WELL. WE HAVE ASSEMBLIES A COUPLE TIMES A YEAR, SPOT LIGHT FOR KIDS WHEN IT IS THIER BIRTHDAY, PAY FOR THE KINDERGARDEN TEA, MEALS FOR TEACHERS AT PARENT TEACHER CONFRENCES TWICE A YEAR, STAFF GIFTS, MUFFINS FOR MOM, DONUTS WITH DAD, A POP CORN MACHINE FOR OUR SCHOOL, WE RE DID OUR TEACHERS BREAKROOM, SUPPLIES FOR THE TEACHERS BREAKROOM AND MANY OTHER THINGS. OUR COST FOR THE CARNIVAL WAS A LITTLE OVER A THOUSAND. THIS YEAR WE ARE HOPING TO DO IT AS AN ALL DAY THING AND TRYING FOR A BETTER DEAL. LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP YOU OR YOU WANT ANY INFORMATION.
