I wish we could do this at our school. Our principal cancelled our annual Halloween parade, and our students can't have Halloween parties this year. The parties will be called "Harvest" parties. She said that the parade takes away from learning. The parade has been a tradition at our school for over 20years. I am certainly upset.
Cool Mom--we had a blast too...an antique firetruck all decked out and a "Camp Goul" with witches and warlocks around a tent camper (complete with smoke machine inside) roasting eyeballs, and pieces and parts of a poor soul boiling away in the cauldron. We actually sold 300 tickets for the Fall Festival (pumpkin rolls, gourd relays, cake decorating and auction, pumpkin toss, bobbing for donuts) which turned out to be a very good night and then ended it all with a monster mash in the activity room. A busy 4 hours and many, many folks were leaving by 7pm...but a great event regardless...I have all the directions etc for the night if anyone wants them for next year.

Our Trunk or treat was a great success! We had approx 90 kids, 40 trunks. It was so much fun to see how elaborate some of the displays were - we even had a flat bed trailer decked out with rockin' skeletons and a fog machine. Thankfully the rain stayed away and we were able to have it outside.
