5 jokes--I am guessing u want the whole night to be around health and sports. How about football toss, golf putt, baseball throw, frisbee toss, hockey shootout, soccer into a goal, free throws, 3 leg race, 50 yd dash, scooter races (if u can se PE equipment), ring toss type games. Most are easy to build and/or suppliy. Do u have a budget for a big inflatable obstacle course? How about a duck pond game with sport theme ducks (dont know if they float upright or not)
This yr is a good time to find other choices besides candy, they seem to be packaging more and more options for halloween so that could help with prizes too. There is also a lot of sporty things at the carnival/prize supply sites. Maybe u could get tickets or passes donated to sport events or athletic places (even the Y)as prizes. maybe a demo from a local karate school? Dance dance revolution is even athletic.
Carnival of Champions, Sports Nut Night, Kickin it at the Carnival, your shcool name or mascot with the word Team.
Hope this helped.

This is my first year as the Family fun night chairperson. I need help and encouragement on trying something new. Last year I felt that the FFN was not as wonderful as it could be. I have been thinking all summer about doing a lot more new things and also incoroporate some of the old so I don't upset the apple cart too much. I have a few parents that have been the chairperson in the past and are not wanting to "change". I have tons of ideas!! We received a new rock climbing wall this year and I wanted to incorporate a "wellness" theme. I wanted to do a book walk, wellness walk (where they would walk for sporty types of prizes), and also an art walk (where they would walk for art supplies)...this would be instead of pop and cake walks. Our school theme is "whatever it takes"... anyone have any ideas on what I could do as a theme? Also, in the past we have rented games that were not very easy to play and I would really like to go back to the basics and so simple yet fun games like a carnival. So, I would appreciate anyhelp that you could give me to boost my confidence in the idea of change!! I am really butting heads with a few people and I don't want that to happen... I just would like to do something a little different. Please HELP!!! Please share your ideas!! Thanks!

Hand out a yellow or gold star and have each student attending decorate the star (provide a craft table) and then display all the stars in the cafeteria or main hallway of the school. It will be a great way to welcome your visitors as well as give each child pride in their star.
If you check them in (use classroom lists) you can provide those that don't attend their stars with a due date to return them so they, too, can be included on the wall.

**you can also hang numerous "clothesline-type strings in the cafeteria and attach the stars so that they appear to be hanging in mid air over the heads of the children.**

Doing it for my one and only ~~ my son!

- Kids stickers, toys and prizes from SmileMakers! has a very cute star sticker that says " I'm a Star" The cost is 5.99 for 100 stickers/roll. The more rolls you purchase the less it is per roll. Hope this helps.
