Call your state's Gaming Commission (or the equivlaent) and describe exactly what you have in mind. According to the printed licnces for gaming (including bingo) in our state, no one under the age of 18 is allowed to participate. On the surface, that would have shut us down immediately. However, upon talking directly with a supervisor in the department, and specifically describing what we wanted to do (bingo and dinner for our families), I was told that it was ok AS LONG AS it was a COMPLETEY FREE event for our families. Rules vary from state to state, so this might not apply to Tennessee. Don't take anyone's word for it except an expert.

Now, that said....no matter what the law says, you'll probably want to abide by the principal's wishes. He may simply feel bingo is inappropriate. It's his building. However, if he's just misinformed, your research might change his mind. Be informed, but sensitive.

Does anyone know if Tennessee schools can do Bingo Games? My Principals told me NO. It was gambling. But yet Tennessee has a lottery. Anyone know??

We have a couple bingo halls I could call. I found an interactive DVD game... wasn't sure which would be easier. Thanks for your help!

I didn't use any program. I hit the city for donations and called the Knights of Columbus to see if I could borrow thier BINGO machine. FOr a $5.00 donation they allowed me the use of their machine and six boxes of cards!

We just did a Willy Wonka Bingo Night. We hid golden tickets in candy bars and the grand prize was a 5# candy bar. It was really fun!
We are now putting the finishing touches on our Beach Blanket Bingo night! we see how it goes.
