Family Nature Night Suggestions - Have Any?

You might want to pick up a few copies of Eco-Fluxx (by Looney Labs) It's a rules changing game that provides sound ecological principles as part of the game play and tween kids really enjoy it. It's a very quick learn and a quick play for the in-between stations or as it's own event that encourages all members of the group or family to play together.

We use it quite often with youth groups and classes as it's effective and portable (and not too expensive either

Thanks for the great ideas! We are building 1/4 mile walking/fitness track and this sounds like a great way to celebrate its grand opening at the beginning of the next school year. Thanks so much!

Thanks for that Oriental Trading information. I'll hunt down a catalog or I imagine they're on line.

This sounds so awesome and fun!
Oriental Trading has some fun back drops you could use for your photo taking opportunity. They even have a outdoor scene. You could also just use a piece of wooden fencing.
Let us know how it goes..
Good Luck

"The Juicy Bug Cafe'" it is. The ants and bugs sitting around are great too. They actually gave me the idea of hidding some Illinois Wildlife creatures (maybe beenie babies or just cut-outs) around the areas and telling the kids when they sign in to keep their eyes open for them and check them off on the bag of their rotation sheet as they "find" them. Your ideas get me thinking about all sorts of fun things. Thanks so much to all of you. I'd be happy to hear more! Happy first day of Spring (although we're expecting lots of snow here tonight!)
