If you order our free Family Movie Night kit (www.schoolfamilynights.com
), one of the included items is complete detail on licensing. Also included is a discounted rate on a one-time license.
Our licensing partner is Movie Licensing USA (www.movlic.com
) if you want to go there directly. Highly recommend the free kit, if you're thinking of running a Family Movie Night.

If you are an ebay customer, look for moakes, id# 3492, or you can search "movie Screen and he is sure to come up. We purchased a 100 x 110 piece of screen fabric from him and hung it from a frame we made our selves. He provides instructions for the frame, or if you are creative, you can come up with something on your own that stores a little more easily. You should be able to do material and frame for less then $100. The right movie will more then cover this cost after the first family movie night.
A screen really isn't necessary. Our gym has white walls - we show it directly on there. We've done this at our church, too, and shown movies outside against the brown brick wall - the movie shows up great.
As far as sound goes - any LCD projector has an audio cable plug that can be attached to any sound system. If your music department or school has giant speakers - plus it into that. That is what we do and the sound is really loud.
Don't forget - you need a movie license to be legal to show any movie at your school.
The problem we have is sound. Using a home system is ok for smaller groups, but we had nearly 125 at the last one and the people in the back could not hear it.
