It sounds like you have some fabulous Family Nights planned. Can you tell me a little bit more about your April event, the Student vs Teacher Triathalon.
Round 1: Eating Contest.
Round 2: Basketball game.
Round 3: Game show like final round.
I am interested in any more info you could give me. We did Fear Factor Bingo last year and it was a big hit, so this year I want to try a game show night.
Did you have this last year, or is this new? Any info you can give me would be great. Or if you are just organizing it I would love to bounce ideas off of the person who is organizing the game show portion. Any info would be great.

If you look in your PTO Today magazine, there is an ad with a phone number to call for the Chuck E. Cheese night... or you can go to chuckecheese.com and follow the appropriate links.
Essentially, you schedule a week night date with the restaurant (we opt for Thursday of a long weekend); they then send you a flyer, stickers, certificates for free tokens, and schedule a time for Chuck to come to your school. Your school's families gather at the restaurant for a night of fun and your group gets 10% of the profit from that evening.
Our officers last year had a great time at Chuck E. Cheese Night... we didn't have to organize or run anything-- we could just walk around and chat with other families! At the end of the night, there was NO CLEANING UP! You just leave the restaurant! It's wonderful!
Of course, you don't make much money off of this... for us, it's much more valuable as a easy family night (we schedule it the month after our carnival) than as a fundraiser.

Hi, I'm a new PTO Member and maybe on the board soon at my son's school. I would like to know more about the March- Chuck E. Cheese Night... How do you get it to work that you get to make some cash for the PTO? I like the idea. Thanks for all your help.
We celebrate the Mexican holiday Cinco De Mayo by having pesole (a mexican soup), tortilla chips,and fresh fruit for dinner. Then, our dance group performs traditional Mexican dances and some of our Newcomers (students new to the country who are just learning English) tell about their culture in English (it's really incredible... they work so hard!). It really is a great evening.
