We did not charge for the pictures, we kept track of the number on the roll of film and wrote down the childs teacher and when we got the pictures developed we knew where to find the kids. We served mini cupcakes, pretzels, brownies, and chocolate chip cookies. Some of the food was baked by our board members and the rest was store bought. On the tables we had white table cloths with red napkins and then we tossed around the table hershey kisses and twizzlers. There were 125 red & white balloons tied inbunches and then placed all over the place. Any other info needed my email is This email address is being protected from spambots. For your red and white family dance: did you charge for the family pictures? How did that work? Sounds really cute. What kind of food did you serve? Thanks for the info.

This February will be our second year holding a dance at our school. We have a Red & White Family Dance at our elementary school on the Friday before Valentines Day. We sold tickets on a first come first serve basis due to the fire codes for our gym, capacity 250, student body 465. Adults were $1.50 and kids $1.00. We made it a family event so we only charged enough to cover the DJ and the food. We serve snacks, juice and lots of water. It was held in the gym from 6:30pm to 8:30pm Everyone was to wear something red or white. We had family pictures taken at the entrance and the DJ played games such as the Limbo, the Conga Line, and a version of hot potatoe, and the Electric Slide. We had a sold out crowd and everyone danced even our Principal! It was great. Everyone was asking if we were going to do it again this year.
I too would like to see your information on the Barn Dance. Would you please email it to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.?
