Consider yourself lucky, we're not allowed to have anything that looks like halloween. Ours is strickly fall decorations. I'm not even sure if a pumpkin patch would be allowed.
Maybe I'll see about next year.

Ours is similar but K-5th, plus some calsses do their own jack-o-lantern carving in the classroom as separate activities.

I have sheet, I'll cut and paste or email it (as soon as I find it). We're in the middle of moving ( ) to a new condo (and possibly new school).

Although I am not Shawn, we have a "pumpkin day" in October too. The PTA buys enough pumpkins (the smallest size) for the entire first grade. The first graders are paired up with a 6th grader for the afternoon. All the pumpkins are spread out in our playground (which is a large field). The 6th graders dress up in "farm" clothes and walk their partner outside where they can find their own pumpkin. Then they spend the afternoon doing various activities such as face painting, coloring Halloween pictures, share a special snack, etc. It is a tradition that all 6th graders look forward to. It also sets the 1st graders up with a buddy for the year. They love seeing a "big" kid in the halls that greet them and make them feel special.
The first graders follow up by writing thank you notes to their buddies.

I have a question for SHAWN...I was checking out your volunteer form on your website and I'm a little curious what "pumpkin day" is in October
I'm trying to introduce some new stuff for our school everyone is getting burnt out on all the same ol stuff....

Great that you use Access to match events with the appropriate volunteers! In case you did not know, PTO Manager, our software program, does that and a lot more! Nice thing about Manager is it is web based so your entire Board can access the program from anywhere. Web based also makes tranition easier. Our Volunteer Form is very similar to the one available at this website, but it doesn't have as many options.

After the forms are turned in, I input all of the data into a Microsoft Access database. That way, I can pull up a list of volunteers based on areas they signed up for. I'll be pulling up the Book Fair volunteers soon!
