I created a website to detail the events of Teacher Appreciation Week and we included our parents by having them come up to the school to relieve our teachers for lunch everyday. We also had "note day" on Friday and some of the teachers displayed their notes outside their classrooms. I do think that next year we should have a bulletin board displaying the notes though - thanks for the idea!
I think that's a wonderful idea! We have "Note Day" during our Teacher-Staff Appreciation Week, when each student is encouraged to write a note to thank their teacher, but there isn't much guidance given and I'm not sure how much the kids actually participate. I think your idea would be a good way to get more response from them, and I'm adding it to our file for next year.
I like the idea! I too worry about the parents who dont know when the luncheon is (not everyone is called to bring in a dish) - this gives everyone the opportunity to be involved and adds personalization to the event! This type of appreciation can mean so much more then any present. Thanks for sharing the idea!!
