I agree that orgsites is pretty cool, but the problem I have with these kinds of operations is that they restrict what you can do in terms of overall design at least. I wouldn't have said this a couple of years ago -- when I was a total web site newby -- but I picked up a beginners book on web site design and was able to use Frantpage Express (comes free on most computers loaded with Microsoft programs) to design my first site of a few pages in less than a month. If you dare stretch your skills a bit, and of course, if you ahve a little time to diddle around with such things, its can be very rewarding and produce a much nicer product in the end.
Last year I launched a website for our PTO. I also relaunched the website for the school. I browsed (Google search) for free templates online and used one of them.
