I just finished up our catalog sale and came up with an idea 2 days after we passed our stuff out...if your school has a 'meet the teacher' night and you haven't had it yet, talk to the teachers and if they don't mind you can put the kid's orders in their room so when the parents come to meet the teacher they can pick up their stuff. Good luck getting those 75 orders out!!
As VP of our PTO, I would be honored to have about...ummm...hmmmm...let's say 20 of YOU! =)
I got all warm and fuzzy reading your e mail, knowing that there are other people out there, doing the same INSANE things I am doing, however, keeping a great sense of humor and remembering...IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!
Big warm, fuzzy hugs,

Well, I probably have 75 orders that weren't picked up. It poured down rain and the room in which we store was taking water in - so we had to improvise. Got a call at 6:45 this morning from someone saying they "totally forgot". It's really hard to be nice at 6:45 when I was at the school 12 1/2 hours yesterday and she "forgot" so decided to call and WAKE ME UP.
I am so glad that you guys are there for me!!!!! By the way - if I agree to chair this next year - please copy and paste these posts into an email and send them to me!
Always (well, almost always - not at 6:45) for the kids, Cathie!
I have not done anything like that other than elementary school but we do it during the day. Granted we do not have 600 orders but we have the order delivered before noon, set up by classes by 2:00 and the kids pick up on their way out the door. Anyone that does not pick up, the orders get delivered to the rooms and they get the order the next day. With everything going on in the kids lives, it is hard to get them together for a night event.
hi...let me know how you make out. We did the same thing, we thought it would be a great thing to have our catalog sale pickup with our fall festival only im running into the same problem. Like you said it looked good on paper . My principal's husband is coach of the high school football team and our gym teacher coaches the baseball team so we have recruited the teams. I think the principal made it a pity thing but if it works...we will see. sounds good although I wont believe it still i see it...

Once my head gets clear I'll have to tell ya about the "fun" the Principal's Asst. has made AGAIN!!!!...not as bad as a dad running for the school board was going to talk to our group Monday night but because of the ball games (baseball) he is making these crazy requests!!! She's close though!
