Marshaw, Since you went ahead and named the company, I guess it's okay! We also used Fun Services. We didn't have the same exact arrangement ("Triple Play"), but they obviously do their best to work out whatever arrangement is best for each individual school.
Hi- We have used Fun Services for the past 2 years. If you sign up for a triple play with them they give you a balloon jump, 10 games & a food machine for nothing. This also includes delivery & set up. The games have metal red & white booths with them. Very fun atmosphere. The triple play we do is simply signing up with them for Secret Santa Shoppe & a bookfair(last year they gave us 63% back in books). It is worth it to get the carnival for free. I highly recommend them.
Sorry to tell you, ptoqueen, but our fundraising company is located in Florida; it is not a national company. I know advertising isn't allowed, but if it's okay with Tim, I'll be glad to post it here. Also, in response to the question about what day of the week, we always hold ours on a Saturday afternoon after Daylight Savings Time kicks in.
Our fun fair is always on a Saturday for a few reasons. Our district restricts us from doing ANYTHING related to fundraising during school hours. This year we have ensured that it isn't on the same weekend as either of the two schools closest to us - hoping that kids will want to go to other fun fairs with their friends (the more kids at our school, the more money - right?) We do it in February, indoors, in the midwest so dunk tank probably not the best idea. February because football and basketball are over and soccer and baseball haven't yet started. Nice break from winter doldrums. (Kids sports start in first or second grade out here!)
