SHC, we don't do this as a fundraiser but more as a service. We do charge $5.00 per person but you get more than your monies worth. You get pizza, drinks, cookies, goodie bags, craft(which is a frame to hold the polaroid picture), polaroid picture with Santa(if you want to take a family picture as well we don't charge for it)and a gift per family (the gift per family was a pickle with the paper telling about the legend of the pickle.)
Since we don't do it as a fundraiser, we make sure we spend every cent we take in, this year we spent more. Every year we have a budget to pay for decorations and the polaroid film. We have 430 kids(k-5) in our school and we have a sell out every year for both sessions.
We do lunch with Santa. This will be our 3rd year. We charge $5/per child. They get a slice of pizza, drink, snack and all the crafts. We have a table with coloring and a make your own ornament table. Kids can sit on santa's lap and we encourage parents to bring their own camera. This way parents can't complain they don't like the picture we took. We have a holiday video showing in one corner of the room. This year for the first time we are doing Christmas karaoke. It should be hilarious. We make very little to almost no money on this event.
I would really love a copy of the letter from santa also. I think this is a great idea. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
