We started this program this year as well and have already decided that we will not be continuing it. As others have stated it is not worth the return. The time invested does not equal the money earned. It is a great idea that sounds good with the whole Go Green initative but again just not enough time to spend on it.

We also did this and will NOT be doing it again unless someone else takes it over. It was a huge mess and overall not worth it. The pouches were a big ant collector as well, our box we had them in was crawling with ants..yuck!
Definately messy, stinky, sticky!! We had a ton of pouches and terracycle could not send us the envelopes quick enough. We did not clean them, as our instructions did not say to do so, we just removed the straws and excess juice and put them in the envelopes. The envelopes tear, and leak. As hard as you try to get all that juice out somehow some stays in. Not worth the effort for 2 cents!!
We did aswell and it was a sticky mess. For the pennies we made per, I think I wasted it in water cleaning them off. We switched to a salsa fudnraiser and made a killing. We sold for $6/jar and keep $3/jar with free shipping.
My 23 kids sold close to 700 jar in 2 weeks.
I strongly recommend this to everyone, it's relatively hassle free and it's something no one else is doing.
Our group just received the bags that are needed to send the juice pouches back to Terra Cycle. In this mailing was a flyer stating that you DO need to cut the bottom inside of the pouch and rinse the pouches out. Here's the web site that was given to us www.terracycle.net/dbp/dpb.htm
I didn't see anywhere on the web site that specifically told us this was required when mailing the pouches back. I guess we're going to give it a try but I can see it becoming a mess. Not sure if it's worth the hassle - unless I can find some high school students that need community service hours!!:confused:
