julier - hurray for you! It's such great fun sharing bargains and making our pitiful dollars stretch further. Good job!

Take Care!

Our sale is this week. I love it. So do the kids. Everything is 50% off. If you have avid readers like I do, I buy as much as I can and even save some for birthdays, summer reading, etc. They do not check any ID. As everyone has said, you just have to sign your name and school name.

JHB- Thank you so much for the info on Bookcloseouts.com. I just ordered over 140 books for our RIF program, and only paid $116! The coupon code worked as well. Because I ordered over 100 books, they were all 75 cents each.

Our RIF program is always strapped for money (the federal grant portion covers only a very small percentage). We can spend up to $2.00/book per child, but that's hard to do sometimes. This will bring my average way down and let me buy some pricier books elsewhere if I have to.

Thanks again!

As far as I know, they sell only new books. But you won't necessarily find all titles like you would at Amazon or Barnes & Noble. It is a clearance center/warehouse type situation.

It probably works best if you have a range of books or an author you want. For example, my 4th grader's teacher wanted books in sets of 5 or 6 for reading groups in her class and had a list of book titles, several by Andrew Clements. When I looked at what BookCloseouts had, the "Landry News" was available for only $1.99. I had just priced them at the bookstore for $4.99 each - so that worked out great. But thena again - some other titles on the list weren't available.

JHB - are these new books or used books that are sold?

Thanks!
