hey my3strongtikes.. i remember that Elephant Fundraiser... you talked about it a while back.. and needed ideas for a name.. what was the outcome?? pennies for pachyderms , or????
OMG!!! I hear ya! This year I cheated!!! I am doing an Italian theme! All the kids drew pictures of Italian Flags and we laminated them! The teachers will view them and then the student can pick it up Friday to keep!!! We cut out 572 flags! I expected maybe 50!
Right now we are doing die cut peanuts for our Elephant Zoo fundraiser. ITs doing great but I am so sick of looking at peanuts. LOL

Stars --- I can't even remember what the project was, but I recall hundreds and hundreds of stars die cut from construction paper. I felt like I'd be pressing that handle and peeling apart stars for the rest of eternity.
The other thing that gives me shivers is "glitter". I know it's pretty, but I think I've done one too many projects that just had to be sparkly. Thank goodness my kids are pretty much past the arts and craft stage.
I guess my vision of "Hades" would be making glittery stars!
Going through 700 drawings for a "Design the t-shirt" contest.
I'm sorry, Mrs. Soandso, we specified that it had to be hand-drawn. No, I'm sorry, that does not include your son's hand on the mouse on the computer program.
Really, only 1 drawing per child.
No, the rules said, elementary school students only. Soandso can not enter because they started the year here and was advanced to the next grade in the middle school.
In the end, it was a lot of laughs but at the time it was a bit crazy!
