PTA officer elections

I really don't think it has anything to do with being uninformed, but I'm going to wait until our next meeting to see what is said about it. I thought of calling our state office, but decided to wait to see what happens at the next meeting when elections are discussed. Thanks to all for your input!

I'm not sure which state you are in but if you want it confirmed in writing, e-mail your state office and then the person who told her this (uninformed or power hungry?) will have no room to argue it!
I can get you the contact info if you tell me what state.

Things that make you go, "hmmmmm." Was the person who told her this just uninformed or....?

Thanks for confirming what I thought. This seemed pretty obvious to me but thought I must be missing something. A person who wants to run for VP is being told she can't because her dues will not be received at the state and national level in time to make her a "paid member" in time for elections.

Hi ptamomof3- You are a member as soon as you submit your dues to your local unit.
Good luck!

We do the same as JonWilson. As soon as you pay your dues to the treasurer and get your membership card, you're in!
