What about if you have been wrongly voted out of office, by vindictivness. After an a special meeting was called with less than 1 week notice, and I was unable to attend this "mandatory" meeting. She sent me an "awful" email, then went behind my back, faricated who knows what over the phone and voted me off the board. we have 9 members...pres got 2 votes for holding both offices of pres and campbell's, co volunteer coord. got 2 votes for also holding memb./direct. I am so angry that it is possible to do this to someone and still be the Pres of the pto. Please help me on this. if you would email me privatly since my ego is already a bit bruised. I posted my sob story on another part of this board.

In our bylaws, it states that three out of the four officers (pres, vp, sec, treas) must agree for something to pass the Board. This eliminates the possiblity of a tie.

The Principal is the 5th member of our board so we usually do not have ties. As far as voting on things, the board is limited to what they can approve. Many things must go to the open meetings and a minimum of 6 or 7 are needed to pass an item.
