If they have no idea what marbles are, you can explain to them that you used to play with them as a kid. 
What you'll need:
- Cardboard tray or box
- Card stock or thin cardboard (like a cereal box)
- Construction paper
- Marbles
- 3 Small cups (yogurt cups work great)
- 3 Spoons
- Paint
- Paint brushes and sponges (optional)
- Scissors
- Marker
- Glue
- Tape
- Ruler
- Glitter (optional)
How To Make:
- Draw an egg shape (any size) onto card stock or thin cardboard. Cut out.
- Trace egg shape onto construction paper. A 4.5 by 6.5 inch egg can fit onto a standard sized sheet of construction paper twice. Cut out egg or eggs.
- Roll up a piece of tape and stick your eggs into the bottom of your tray.
- Mix up your paint and put 1 marble in each cup. Swirl around the marble to cover it in paint. Use a spoon to scoop them out and place the marbles in the tray.
- Now holding the tray with both hands, tip it back and forth to roll the marbles around. When the marbles run out of paint, just pop them back in the cups. Repeat step 5 until the eggs look just right. Carefully remove the eggs so the tape does not rip them and allow to dry.
- Optional: When the eggs are dry use glitter and glue to add extra designs to the marbled eggs.
