But it has Cheerios and Chex in it, so it is kinda healthy, right?
What you'll need:
- 5 Cups Cheerios
- 5 Cups Corn Chex
- 2 Cups Salted Peanuts (skip peanuts if there are allergies in the class)
- 1 Large Bag of M&M's
- 1 Package (10oz) Miniature Pretzels
- 2 Packages (12oz each) Vanilla Baking Chips
- 3 Tbsp Vegetable Oil
* One full batch will be enough for an entire class to share. If you want to make a smaller amount, just use 1/2 of what is listed above for each ingredient.
How to make it:
- In a large bowl, combine the first five ingredients; set aside.
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, heat chips and oil on medium-high for 2 minutes, stirring once. Microwave on high for 10 seconds; stir until smooth. It is easy to over-cook it, so be sure to check on it often.
- Pour melted chips over cereal mixture and mix well. Be sure to stir down to the bottom of the bowl to make sure it coats evenly.
- Spread the mixture onto waxed paper.
- Let it sit to cool 15-20 minutes until the chocolate is no longer sticky.
- Store in airtight container.
- YIELD: 5 quarts.
