Who doesn't love working with bubble wrap! Indian corn made out of bubble wrap and pain makes a colorful display.

How To Make It:

Cut three long ovals from bubble wrap scraps, then paint the ovals yellow, tan, and rust. When dry, go back and paint individual bubbles shades of brown, blue, and gold to mimic Indian corn colors. Glue the painted corn pieces onto card-stock backings, punch a hole at the top of each corn, and tie on raffia before hanging the grouping from a doorknob or on a wall.

THANKFUL TURKEY

A fun and colorful way for kids to share what they're thankful for.

What You'll Need:

  1. Two paper bowls
  2. a toilet paper tube, glue
  3. construction paper
  4. markers
  5. scissors
  6. paint and paintbrush,
  7. toothpicks
  8. small condiment cup (this will be your turkey's hat!)

How to Do It:

  1. Paint the bowls and toilet paper roll any color you'd like and let dry.
  2. Glue the rims of the bowls together, then glue the roll to one of the bowls; this creates the body.
  3. Make a face for your turkey by first drawing eyes with marker.
  4. Give him a beak by folding a small square of construction paper in half diagonally and then cutting along the line to make the beak 3D! Glue on the beak and let dry.
  5. Draw a gobbler with a red marker.
  6. Have kids trace their handprint to use as the turkey's feet.
  7. Cut out feather shapes from the construction paper. Glue the backsides of the feathers, sandwich a toothpick (but keep one end showing) between them, and glue it all together.
  8. Have your kids write what they're thankful for on each of the feathers and stick each into the bowls.
  9. Trace a circle, wider than the diameter of the condiment cup and cut out (this will be the hat's brim).
  10. Glue the cup to the brim and there you go!   A very thankful turkey.

Hint: Depending on the age of the kids and time available it might be a good idea to have some parts of this craft already done.
