You might start by contacting schools in your local area to find one that created a school directory. That way you might be able to use some of the same service providers they used, and you might even find someone your principal already knows that he can talk to. You might also post this same request on the Message Boards. There are companies that produce school directories (usually with "school directory" in the name). If you contact one of them, they will be happy to put you in touch with schools who have used their services. Also, as a last resort, if you search the internet for "PTO school directory," you'll find lots of schools that have created directories. In my experience, an email from one PTO leader to another will usually get a response, even if it's someone you don't know. Also, have your read the story How To Create a School Directory? It offers a pretty good overview of the process.
