There's no easy way out of a problem like this -- you have to confront it. You have to talk to the volunteer about her actions and their effect, and you have to ask for change. If you don't get it, it's OK to fire a volunteer who is a net negative for your group and your mission, and it sounds like you're reaching that point. Your problem is complicated by the principal, so you should probably sit down with the principal and explain the problem and inform her of the actions you plan to take. Don't back down -- this is your call, not the principal's. Be firm and sure of yourself.
