Elly says you’ll need to check your bylaws or your school’s constitution to see whether your group is required to furnish reports or financial updates to your local school board. Each school and parent group relationship is different when it comes to overall fiscal reporting. But, as a general rule, PTO records are in fact public record. Elly hopes that your group’s financial statements are up to date and that other records are in order.
